It must have been the stern talking to I gave it last month. The threat of being removed from our garden was obviously too much to bear.
It is a beautiful bicoloured variety. Unfortunately the label has long since blown away so I am unable to tell you which one but, suffice to say, it smells and looks wonderful.
I have counted at least ten blooms. Proof that patience is indeed required with wisteria, if you have not brought a plant already in bloom. I will be sure to follow all the current advice for pruning so, with luck, it will be increasingly floriferous each year as it covers the pergola tunnel that is it's home.
