About us....
Sublime Garden Design is a husband and wife garden design team located in Norfolk.
We aim to listen to our client’s wishes, discuss then produce ideas and a plan and also to carry out the transformation, or anything in between. You and your ideas lead us and of course, most importantly, the landscape in which you reside.
Chris’s particular skills include problem solving in challenging areas and creating ideas to overcome these. He is a perfectionist and specialises in ground-works, for example lawns, hard landscaping including paving, fencing and his particular specialty- decking.
Wendy is more the plantsman and has the vision to produce an overall look, guided by the requirements of the clients. She has had a long interest in horticulture, plants and garden looks, practicing by the late Beth Chatto’s motto of ‘right plant, right place’ (most of the time- there can sometimes be surprises)
Our particular passion is for Mediterranean and tropical planting, which was apparent in our own previous garden which we opened annually from 2015, until we moved to our new home in 2020, for the National Garden Scheme. It had been an empty and unloved plot for many years from which we lovingly created our own haven with a mixture of both exotic and more traditional planting and structure over eight years. We had also included a more traditional cottage border, shaded woodland area, prairie planting, kitchen garden and a small courtyard area within our previous 1/3 acre modest plot We were very sad to leave it but now have a much larger area of almost an acre we are in the process of redesigning into our own dream garden!

How we started….
Thanks to encouragement from family and friends but also from the very positive and reoccurring feedback from visitors to our garden, we decided to follow through what people had been urging us to do for years- sharing our ideas, inspirations, knowledge and expertise not just to friends and family but with clients on a professional basis.
What we do….
We have many years of experience in garden transformation ranging from small areas and borders to whole gardens. We would be delighted to meet with you, view the areas you wish to transform, discuss your ideas and needs and make suggestions.
From this, we can draw up plans which can either be provided in isolation, or add services from partial to full transformation. All at a reasonable and affordable cost-the choice is yours. We look forward to meeting you…
